Our special Self Retracting Power Cords are made with industrial grade Orange POLYURETHANE  sheathed, EPR Rubber insulated cable.
These cords are used for a variety for power and/or control uses.

Theses special cords are:
Halogen Free, Water Resistant, UV Stable, Extreme Mechanical Resistance: Cut & Abrasion Resistant, and has Good Chemical resistance (Oils, Grease and Fuels.)

When operated in the horizontal orientation, these cords are deemed to be `Self Retracting`

When operated in a vertical orientation, the weight of the cord plus the weight of the outlet or other fixture will naturally make the cord slightly extend.
This range exhibits Very high retractability or “Spring”

These cords are rated to extend some Three to Four times the compressed length ie a 4:1 Ratio.

And some specific configurations can extend much further. Some up to 6:1 Ratio!

Note: Because of the large number of possible configurations available, only a small selection of these cords are usually available from stock. Most configurations and larger quantities are made to order.
